Serendipitous Red PineApples
Midterms already . . . wow, and Spring Break starts next week, which is very nice. This semester is going so fast, actaully this whole year is. I was thinking about freshman orientation earlier today and that it really didn't seem like it happened all that long ago when really it's been almost 2 years already and Junior year is just around the corner. What is happening to the time, and have I been taking advantage of it, or have I been letting it pass me by while I sleep and daydream? I seem to feel better and almost more accompished when I decide to stay up and do some work after I get out of class at 11 every morning or go run some errands, rather than go back to bed. I'm starting to think that I should try to nap less during the day, and try to get my ass to bed before the ungodly hour of 4 or 5 am every night. Seems like common sense; how am I just realizing and putting this together now? Maybe there isn't enough hours in the day for me, I dunno . . . I need a solution though ~
Went into the city Friday night with my baby-sugga-girl Heidi and her friend from home to see "Rent" on Broadway. Sooo Goooood!! This was my second time seeing it this year and I felt like this performance was better. And afterwards we met and got pictures with Drew Lachey, which made Heidi's year! haha. Afterwards we went to Serendipity for some dessert, mochachinos, tea and frozen hot chocolate. A lot of fun, nevermind delectable, amazing, delicious, scrumptious, orgasmic, dreamy, and absolutely out of this world wonderful!! haha, yeah, it really was that good . . . try it sometime, I highly reccomend it. But I must say, proceed with caution, dessert there is so satisfying it might leave you breathless *
Lots of work to do this week, but then I'm home free!! Literally, home is just around the corner and Spring Break are my two favorite words right now. Claudia's getting more excited everyday for us to go home and have some wine and lots of fun . . . or should it be fun and lots of wine? hehe. And Heidi will be making her first trip home with me for a couple days so I can show her a good 'ol time in the Albany area (oh yeah) and then it's over to Boston for a few days with her at her house, which will prolly be a better time than exciting upstate New York. : )

Apache Rose Peacock
So yeah . . . I'm sick as a dog and I only have my music, a box of Whitman's Samplers I got from CVS earlier while picking up Sudafed, and the comfort of my tiny little featherbed: fully equipped with a large box of extra-soft tissues and "Godiva"- my genuine Cheesecake Factory, chocolately-brown teddy bear. While laying here I was looking around at all of the things that are up on my walls and realizing that there is a story to tell about everything that I've hung. I know I am one to over analyze, but at a time like this where I have plenty of time to think because it's painful to move, it's comforting to think of all those stories and all the people and things that they remind me of. Having stories of your own and things that you cherrish can be so personal and different for everyone, but I feel that the more personal, the more priceless. There are stories to tell about everything, and the more light hearted, creative and intriguing they are, whether they be true or make believe, the better. From observation and personal experience things like these seem to build character and define you into the person you are. Becoming your own person and finding yourself by becomeing more independent is at some point inevitable while away college, and I can see this happening with myself and almost everyone I know, whether they realize it or not. And it becomes more obvious as the months go on who realizes this and is growing as a person, and who is not. Every moment is a learning experience, whether you're sitting in your room by yourself or you're out and about with your friends or meeting new people. There is always more to learn about everyone . . . including yourself.
That was my deep thought of the moment. I don't really know if anyone can realate to my over-analyzing-complicated-cluster of a mind . . . but eh, it's what I've been thinking. *
Anywayyyy
On a lighter note, I was hanging out with the usual crew next door and one of my friends was telling me about this great song, "Apache Rose Peacock" by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Some of the most random lyrics I've ever heard, and wow, what a horny little man, haha. Struck up a really interresting conversation. I would also like to advise that any magic dragons should not listen to this song because they might be offended that Honah Lee isn't thougt of as the most desired place to be. Who goes by Rosey and has a name like Apache Peacock anyway???
Well that's enough for now . . . Twinkle twinkle on your little star and keep yourself healthy! *

draw . . . listen . . .

"Four mourning doves searching in the park
Saying don't be confused when the night is dark
Eleven white swans swimming in a black lake
Told me keep it real and you'll find who's fake . . .
. . . A bunch of ideas like fireflies
An eighteen-year-old girl with stars in her eyes
We saw the gentile trickster on the highway tonight
Keep your mouth shut and your eyes open wide. "
